How To Clean A Hydration Bladder

 


A hydration bladder has been a must-have essential for hikers, bushwalkers, and trekkers around the world.

It is a very convenient way to carry your water at places where the availability of water is questionable.

Also, it is one of the best ways to keep yourself hydrated throughout the journey, without having to stop in between your treks, especially during competitions. 


Here are ways in which you can keep your hydration pack in good condition for a longer period of time.


Step 1: The water bladder must be rinsed in water, consisting of a mixture of 1/2 tsp. of vinegar and 1 gallon of water.


Step 2: Then boil the water in the bottle, and allow it to cool down.


Step 3: Rinse the water bladder with cold water, and empty it thoroughly.


Step 4: Fill the hydration pack with warm water+1/4th cup of baking soda.


Step 5: Stir the mixture, and allow it to stay for 15 minutes.


Step 6: Allow the bottle to cool.


Step 7: Rinse the hydration bladder with cold water, and empty it thoroughly.


Step 8: Add 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup baking soda and 1/2 tsp. of bleach (optional).


Step 9: Stir the mixture, and allow it to stay for 15 minutes.


Step 10: Allow the bottle to cool.


Step 11: Rinse the bladder with cold water, and empty it thoroughly.


Step 12: Rinse with clean water.


Step 13: Allow it to stand for a while.


Step 14: Fill the bottle with warm water+1/4th cup baking soda


Step 15: Stir the mixture, and allow it to stay for 15 minutes.


Step 16: Allow the bottle to cool.


Step 17: Rinse the bladder with cold water, and empty it thoroughly.


Step 18: Rinse with clean water.


Step 19: Allow it to stand for a while.


Step 20: Fill the bottle with warm water+1/4th cup baking soda


Step 21: Stir the mixture, and allow it to stay for 15 minutes.


Step 22: Allow the bottle to cool.


Step 23: Rinse the bladder with cold water, and empty it thoroughly.


Step 24: Rinse with clean water.


These are effective and DIY steps that you can take at home to clean the hydration bladder in an inexpensive way.
